How to Help
- "Like" & Share the Save Upper Campus facebook page.
- Sign up for the Save Upper Campus announcement email list (we won't bombard you with messages)
- Inform yourself about the issues surrounding UCSC expansion, and spend time on the trails in the forest that is threatened.
- Talk to friends, coworkers, and neighbors about Upper Campus and local water issues; help them to be informed and involved.
- Come out to events, meetings, actions and gatherings.
- Get more involved by attending the regular Save Upper Campus organizing meetings hosted by Santa Cruz Forest Keepers. Email forestkeepers@riseup.net for the current schedule.
- Invite our volunteers to give a brief (15-30 min) presentation about UCSC expansion to your organization, class, or section. Email saveuppercampus@gmail.com
- Draft letters to the editor or articles that advocate for protection of Upper Campus-- we’d appreciate if you’d also cc a copy to saveuppercampus@gmail.com
- Join an Upper Campus Forest Walk or offer to lead one! See the Save Upper Campus facebook page for a current schedule.
- Dedicate a school activity, research paper, documentary, senior project or even thesis to Upper Campus / LRDP related issues.
- Make art! Consider adding [saveuppercampus.org] to it, so people can learn more, via this website, about Upper Campus and how it is threatened. Send us scans or photos of your art and we can help you distribute it and possibly feature it on our website/facebook!
- Contact the City of Santa Cruz and let them know how you feel about Upper Campus development and the extension of water services for UCSC growth. Talk to city council members and staff about these issues.
- Contact Chancellor Blumenthal and other UC administrators via letters, email, or phone calls.
- Add your name or your organization’s name to the list of Save Upper Campus Coalition supporters. (link to a sign-up form coming soon)
- Contact saveuppercampus@gmail.com if you represent an organization that may be interested in joining the Coalition.
